WILDLIFE SANCTUARY TOUR

Come... enjoy an unforgettable trip through the magnificent fresh water canals and lagoons formed in the Delta of the Estrella River, one of the largest rivers on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica. A delightful experience awaits you at Aviarios del Caribe, Costa Rica’s newest privately owned Wildlife Sanctuary only twenty miles from the Port of Limon. Your "Jungle Journey" begins when you board our safe, silent fiberglass canoes and your guide rows you silently through the natural waterways. You are surrounded by the soothing beauty of the lush tropical vegetation of this exuberant lowland rain forest.  In this protected setting, we have identified 312 species (and still counting), along with other creatures such as caiman, coati-mundi, kinkajous, anteaters, monkeys, river otters, turtles, myrland lizards and countless butterflies, all of which inhabit these rich Caribbean lowlands.

Our tours begin at 6:00 am and continue throughout the day

You can also take a walk "On the wild side" on our easy walking path into the adjoining rainforest with a local guide and feel the majesty of nature! This little tour is a must to give you a feel of the wonders the caribbean coast of Costa Rica has to offer.
Duration of tour is one half hour to whatever amount of time you would like to spend with us.
