- How much does it cost to send E-cards and how many can I send?
The E-cards are a FREE service and you can send as many as you wish. The cost
of maintaining this service, which includes the website hosting and additional
bandwidth, is paid for by the banner ads that you see on the pages. Please help
maintain this service free by visiting my sponsors. You don't need to purchase
anything or provide any information, all you need to do is to click on a banner
ad when you visit.
- Can I use your images on my website?
Please keep in mind that all my images are ©Copyrighted. If you have a noncommercial
personal page you can use my images as long as you provide a credit and a link
back to my site (http://www.ogphoto.com). You need to also send me an e-mail
letting me know that you are using my image.
If you have a commercial website
(any website that sells a product or has any type of ad banners) then you
will need to purchase usage rights of the images. The cost for the usage rights
will depend on the location of the image on the site and the number of visitors
the site receives.
- What type of camera and lenses do you
use?
The vast majority of the images were taken with a Nikon 6006 35mm
camera or F100. These cameras are rather old now and have been discontinued. In
the summer of 2005 I finally went fully digital and purchased the Nikon D70s.

I also occasionally
use a 24mm lens. For macros, I use Kenko extension tubes. I don't like to use
filters and the only filters that I'll occasionally use are a Circular Polarizer
to bring out the blue skies or remove reflections and a Neutral Graduated filter
when I want to capture details in shadow areas.
- What film
do you use?
I now only shoot digital since purchasing my D70s. Prior to
that just about all my images were captured on negative film. I had been using
the Kodak Supra 100 but I also used Fuji 100 or 200. I had found that the negative
films are better than slides for scanning since they contain more detail in the
shadow areas.
- Do you use a digital camera?
All my
recent images are digital (since summer of 2005). But the vast majority of my
images were taken on regular 35mm film and then I scanned the negatives on a Canoscan
FS2710 film scanner.
- What digital imaging software do you
use.?
I use Photoshop which is an excellent program.
- Who
created your website?
I created everything on this website and I'm the
only one maintaining it. The website started out as a personal web page with images
of my daughter. I really enjoyed creating that original site and so I began to
learn more about developing web sites. I later added some of my nature images
and it eventually evolved into the current site.
- Do you
sell your prints over the internet?
Yes, I have available for sell some
of my most popular images on the prints page. These
are high quality photographic prints. I only have a few now but I will be adding
more in the future. If you are interested in a particular image that does not
appear on my prints page please let me know and I'll try to make it available
for you.
- Do you sell your images for commercial
or graphic use?
Yes, many of my images have been used in calendars, book
covers, newspaper articles and in graphic posters. I can provide high resolution
digital files of the images for various uses. If you are working on a project
